PAULCONEW , HEAD OF MEDIA SPARKS
Reference for Jules Annan
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN.
Jules Annan is someone I have known professionally and personally for more than 8 years.
In my capacity as Director of Communications with the children’s medical research charity
SPARKS I have found Jules to be a photographer of excellent technical quality and tremendous enthusiasm.
We have used Jules Annan on numerous occasions to photograph SPARKS events and projects and help project the charity’s vital research work to the widest possible audience, via the media and our powerful support base of corporate, celebrity and individual patrons.
Whether dealing with famous personalities from the worlds of sport and entertainment, prominent figures from the business world, leading doctors and research scientists or young children (and their families) suffering from a wide range of serious medical problems, Jules is always unfailingly patient, friendly and sympathetic. Combined with his experience and technical ability as a photographer, these are crucial qualities and I can only speak in the highest terms of him as both a photographer and ambassador for this charity.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any further information.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE FIRE BRIGADE
DDuring the severe weather and flooding of summer 2007 Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called upon to deal with an uunprecedented number of incidents in horrendous conditions. Having no official brigade photographer but having a need to record the eevents of that time we ran into local photographer Jules Annan who was taking photographs in the streets and supermarkets but aagreed to drop everything and follow and record our operations for the next week or two. This entailed helicopter trips, ministerial and rrroyal visits and the occasional immersion in water but Jules did it all with a smile and captured images which really tell the story of ttthose hectic and heroic days. We have been inundated with requests from all over the world for his pictures, which range from artistic aand technical shots of equipment to compassionate images of people and communities and have found them very helpful in conveying t to various audiences the effects severe weather can have on our communities and the emergency services.
A As an individual Jules has a very nice and relaxed manner, he understands the needs of the Service and therefore the images which aare important to us. He quickly picked up the whole aspect of command and control and therefore required very little guidance. Jules h has been commissioned on several other occasions as our official photographer and the quality of his work is always second to none.
I therefore have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who wishes to use his skills and talents.
YYours sincerely
